Keys

On arrival, you will be handed a key. You will receive more information before your arrival

Lost
The flat key and garage door are expensive to replace, so be careful! Disposals cost CHF 150.

Lift

The flat on the 6th floor, the garage (-1) and the swimming pool (1) can only be accessed via the lift with the key. Insert the key briefly into the lock, turn it and remove the key immediately.

To go down by lift from the apartment, press up button. The down button allows you to send the lift down to pick up people.

Garage

The apartment has a private garage which has space for 1 car, outside in the car park there is space for 2 more cars at number C12.

Ski Locker

You can store skis, shoes and the like in the ski locker. The ski locker can be found on the ground floor to the left with number C12.

Kitchen

Coffee machine

Before switching on, check that there are enough coffee beans in it (container top right) and that there is enough water in it (container top left).

Place a cup under the machine before switching it on. The machine is now being rinsed.
Empty the cup or get a clean one and now you can choose 1 or 2 cups of coffee. The strength can be set by the middle button with the coffee bean.

When notified, you can take out the bottom tray with coffee bean residue and empty it into the sink and residual waste bin. You can ignore the notification of ‘clean’ or ‘calc’. The machine is cleaned and descaled regularly.

Cooker

Make sure there is nothing on the burners before switching them on. Press the on/off button (⏼) for a few seconds to turn on the cooker. Now select 1 of the 4 hobs and use the slider to set a temperature from (1) keep warm to (9) pressure cooker setting. The power setting (P) can be used to quickly boil a pan of water.

If the pan is skewed on the hob, or there is something in between, for example, a u symbol appears.

Keep in mind that not all cooktops can be on high power at the same time, because of this, increasing the temperature on 1 burner can automatically lower the temperature on another burner.

In the hall near the master bedroom you’ll find a milk frother, a toaster, a blender, mixer and equipment for fondue and raclette. Please handle everything with care and clean gently afterwards. 

Apartment

Wifi

The SSID network name is ‘wyssler’ and the password can be found in the apartments manual.

Recyling

There are a number of bins in the kitchen for recycling glass, paper, cans, PET bottles and residual waste. The bin for residual waste can be found under the sink the other bins are in the kitchen.

• Glass can be put in the container at the bottom of the road towards the square, about 50 metres from the apartment
• Paper and cardboard can be put in the container at the bottom of the road towards the square, about 50 metres from the apartment
• Beverage cans can be recycled at the bins on the Rte de Ecluses towards the swimming pool or the Rte de la Telecabine at the roundabout right up towards the gondola.
• PET bottles (no other plastic) can be recycled at the bins on the Rte de Ecluses towards the swimming pool or the Rte de la Telecabine at the roundabout right up towards the gondola.
• Residual waste can be put in the bin downstairs at the exit of the apartment complex. Residual waste must be offered in special waste bags from the Valais region. A number of bags are available should this not be sufficient, more bags can be purchased from the Coop supermarket.

Rooftop blinds

The blinds open and close automatically by measuring the amount of sunlight and wind. You can also control the blinds with the remote in the rear hall. Use the bottom square button to change the blinds: 1=dining table, 2=balcony, 3=master bedroom. You can operate the blinds with the arrow keys.

By pressing the bottom square button for a long time, you set the blinds to automatic or manual operation. With automatic operation, the blinds may close if there is too much wind.

Fireplace

Open the flap of the chimney by moving the white knob above the fireplace to the vertical position. Use firelighters and small pieces of wood to light the fire. Always slide the flap all the way down once the fire is burning.

Wood can be found in the garage downstairs.

Electricity

The fuse box is located in the sliding cupboard on the left in the rear hall. If there are problems with the electricity, the main fuses may also have blown. The main stops are located downstairs in the equipment room on the far right labeled C12. The technical room is on the left when you get out of the elevator on the ground floor. Of course, in case of technical problems you can also contact the concierge, see contact details on the last page.

Jacuzzi

The temperature, water jets and colour lighting are adjustable with the remote control. The standard temperature is 37 degrees. Should the jacuzzi not yet be at temperature: the jacuzzi warms up at about 1 to 2 degrees per hour. So once the water is replaced, it takes at least 24 hours for it to reach temperature.

Jacuzzi rules:
– Shower before use
– No soap residue in swimwear (please rinse if you just washed it!) 
– No food or drink in the Jacuzzi
– Maximum 3 people
– Set the temperature between 35 and 38 degrees
– Close the lid after use, this prevents cooling down.

Pizza oven

Start with firelighters and small pieces of wood. Before pizza can be baked, fire must consist mainly of glowing coals and not smoke and flames, so start firing at least 2 hours beforehand. Pizzas bake best at around 250-300 degrees.

TV

Turn on the TV with the button on the right under the TV or with the Philips remote control if it is on standby. Turn on the Net+ box with the red button. You operate the TV with the Net+ remote control. The Dutch channel is on 480. You also need the Philips remote control to change the source. Then press ‘input’.

Washing machine

There is a washing machine and dryer on the ground floor (floor 0), these work on coins and are for shared use.

In the apartment, there is a washing machine in 1 of the bathrooms. Choose the shortest possible programme (e.g. mixed) and little detergent.

Bedrooms

The bedroom windows are fitted with anti-intrusion film. And the doors are NOT tilt-and-turn doors.

Swimming pool

The pool is located on the 1st floor, and is accessible with the flat key by lift. The pool is open between 7:00 and 22:00.

Pool rules:
– Showering beforehand mandatory
– No large inflatable attributes
– Be considerate of other visitors
– Children under 12 are not allowed in the pool unsupervised

Sauna

The sauna is located in the swimming pool. Before use, set the sauna to the desired temperature using the display. It heats up pretty quickly! When you’re finished please switch it off. Use water from the shower for the heater.
